The Problems I faced with reading

Reading is a great hobby to have. I highly admire people who can easily get lost in a book. People who read for fun. I am sometimes jealous of not being able to do that.

I was never a reader. I used to read when I was 6-8 years old. Every time we used to get our yearly results at our school we used to get books as gifts. I used to read a lot then. Mostly storybooks. But I lost touch with reading books for fun as I got older. I don’t know when it happened or why it happened. The only explanation I try to give myself is that reading textbooks for school made me lose interest in reading books for fun. But maybe I am wrong.

How running changed my life-Part 1

Although I already made a video about this I love talking about running. I want to continue talking about running. That’s why I will dedicate a few blogs about running. Today I feel like talking about how running changed my life. There are different aspects of my life that running impacted. Today let’s talk about stamina.
Before I started running I was overweight. I am still overweight, just a few kg left, but there’s a huge difference between overweight me in 2019 and overweight me in 2022. The huge difference is in stamina.

Why do I like being a minimalist? Part 1

Whenever I search images with the term minimalism, I always see a lot of white images with a single subject or a simple foreground with a white background. While that shows the true origin of the term minimalism it doesn’t show how it has turned into a lifestyle choice for many people. In today’s world, many people find meaning through living a minimalistic life. Modern life has become so complex that going back to a simpler meaningful life seems like the answer.

Japan still uses a fax machine in 2022

It’s a beautiful Tuesday morning. I am on my way to work. I can’t tell you what job I do but it involves little monsters. That’s the only thing I am allowed to share.

I arrive at the parking lot. I meet my colleague for the day. We discuss the outline of the day. But something wasn’t quite right. So I told her to double-check if things were all good to go. Then she tells me,
‘‘According to the Fax they sent us, this is the poison you need to take to die’’

That last part I obviously made up because I stopped listening after she said, “the Fax they sent us’’. The fax? What does she mean by ‘‘the Fax’’. I reconfirmed with her and yes, they did send us a fax.

How to not maintain a blog

It’s 12:53 am. Happy New Year. 2022. It’s hard to think that we are still not in 2020. While 2021 was the best year of my 20s one thing I didn’t manage to maintain was this blog.

“Well that is going to change now”-I said multiple times last year. Wow, that was hard. 2021 is last year now. Since I managed to fail at maintaining a blog I thought why not write a blog about it and start 2022 on the right foot.

THE YEAR OF FOCUS

Happy New Year! It’s been a while since I wrote here. But it’s a new year, so why not a fresh start.

Every year in Japan I see that it gets named after a specific animal. The origin of this naming is from China and 2021 is supposed to be the year of the Ox. Ever since I learned about this unique practice I thought to myself, ‘‘Why not I start something like this for myself'?’’. One specific core mindset for the year.

Does this make you yawn?

Why is that when someone yawns in front of you, you start yawning too? Or when someone who is having a laugh and smiling brings a smile on to your face?

Emotions, whether they are positive or negative are contagious. Not only emotions, small everyday behaviors that you do everyday might end up being picked up by people who are close to you.

Why aren’t you more responsible?

''You should be more responsible''

''Will you be more responsible next time?''

''Can I trust you to be responsible?''

We all have faced some iteration of that statement in our lifetime. If you are someone who hasn't, you must be special. You must be the responsible one. Responsibility is defined as an adjective which means ''having an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role.''

We tend to think that asking questions is a sign of not knowing. But in a lot of cases asking questions is a fundamental pillar of learning.

6 months of running- How does it feel?

112 ligaments, 26 bones, 33 joints, nerves, blood vessels, and tendons work together when we run. I have been making use of all of those for the past 6 months and I have never felt better in my 25 years run as a human being. This has probably been my best year and a big contributor to my overall wellbeing has been running. Today I want to share how I got started, mistakes I made, and most importantly how I feel.
