Why can I drink coffee before bed?

Do you drink coffee at night?

I was not a fan of black coffee for 24 years of my life. I am 26 now and black coffee is a big part of my life. So what happened in the past 3 years?
I basically replaced my addiction to coca-cola with black coffee. I talk in more detail in this blog. I am no longer addicted to coca-cola and although initially, coffee did become an addiction but right now I am no longer dependent on coffee. Although I say that, I do enjoy my hot cup of black coffee.
Back to the title of this blog. Whenever I hear anyone talk about coffee I hear how it affects their sleep. How after a certain point of the evening they don’t want to drink coffee because it doesn’t help them sleep.
Ever since I started drinking coffee I felt most of the benefits that people talk about. Coffee did really help start my day and helped me stay focused on my work. One of the negatives of drinking coffee was how it impacted people’s sleep. But I never had this problem so far. Instead of avoiding coffee at night I rather enjoy a cup before going to bed. I haven’t felt any side effects so far and from the little research I have done I understood that I have built a certain level of tolerance for caffeine. If I want to feel the effects of caffeine I probably need to increase the amount of caffeine I intake but I don’t feel the need for it. I am rather happy with the amount I drink at the moment.
