When your body surprises you

The last 48 hours have been really hectic. Well, the last week in itself has been hectic. Even then I managed to run every single. Not long runs, short runs of 2-4km. I am proud of how my body has responded to the hectic schedule.
Today my body particularly surprised me. After the move to Tokyo yesterday, I had run 2km in the evening. Then I went to a friend’s place. Instead of going to bed, we started playing FIFA.
It ended up being a FIFA session that went through 2 large size pizzas and lasted till 5 am. I fell asleep after that. I woke up around 10 am and then I had another day of running errands. I didn’t get the time to run and spent most of it getting things done. Finally, around 10 pm I got some time to run.
I was on 4 hours of sleep and already had a busy day. I wasn’t expecting much from my body. I told myself that I will get out and do just a km. Just a short jog and then take a rest.
But my body surprised me. I ended up running 2km. Not a long distance but it was at a great pace and my body felt amazing. It was full of energy even after all the things I had to do today. All it took was some motivation to get out of the door.
