How to adjust to a new routine?

Ever since 2019, my routine has been similar. It was the same thing almost every single day. I got used to it. Finally, after almost 3 years my routine changed today. How do I adjust to this new routine?
Firstly, let’s talk about my previous routine. My working hours were from 1 pm to 9 pm on most days. This meant that I had my mornings free to myself. I had the time to make my breakfast, run, do some work or read, cook lunch and then finally head out to work. I had almost 5 hours to myself if I woke up by 8 o’clock. But on the contrary, I ended up having late dinners. My dinner time was 10 or 11 depending on my night run. This wasn’t the ideal situation but adjusted to it pretty well. This was more or less my regular day on the weekdays.
From today I start a different routine. I work from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. This means I have to wake up by 6 am in order for me to do my morning routine. The routine involves running, taking a shower, and eating breakfast. Early start but on the contrary, I am back to normal dinner time. Today was just the first day and I am not sure how my body will adjust.
From today’s experience, I can say I feel like I have more time. After coming back home from work, my body felt weird being free at this time. I had so much time but wasn’t sure what to do. I ended up going on a second run.
Coming back to the question, how to adjust to a new routine? I would suggest taking one day at a time. Evaluate after a week and see what went well and what went wrong. Then use that feedback to prepare better for the next week. That’s what I am planning to do.
