Playing basketball for the first time

Although basketball is a popular sport worldwide, especially in the United States, I never had an interest in playing it. My exposure to the sport was as far as knowing Micheal Jordan. I heard about his greatness through my Dad. But other than that I never got exposed to the sport.
A few months back I watched the documentary about Micheal Jordan on Netflix. The documentary was amazing and it really showed the mentality Jordan had. If you can build such a mentality in your life, you can find similar success. I did get a better idea about the sport through the documentary. But still, I never had the interest to play it.
Today finally I got the chance to play. Not a full-court game but a three-on-three game. I was obviously the weakest player on the court but I enjoyed it a lot. It really put my stamina to the test. I was happy that my regular cardio showed its impact. I felt great moving continuously while trying to understand the game. I treated it more as a cardio workout and less as a game. Maybe I should have concentrated on the game factor. But overall, I have to thank my consistency in running. It has really helped transform my life in multiple ways.
I am probably going to play the game a few more times in the coming months. If I do I will try and write an updated blog!
