My dedication towards food as a kid

As a kid, I used to love food. I still love food. That hasn’t changed. But today while talking about old photographs with my mum, it reminded me of a story that showed how dedicated I was towards my food.
The year is 2002 I think. This was back in grade 2 or 3. Every day after school my mum used to come to pick me up and my brother from school. I was studying at Maple Leaf International School Dhanmondi Branch I think.

Every day on our way home we used to stop at this restaurant named Jimmy’s kitchen. We used to get the same fried rice and chicken every single day. Every single day never missed a day because of me.

Every single day we were returning, if I didn’t get that food I wasn’t going home. I would do everything in my power to get my mum to buy that food. The trick that always worked was telling mum that I will open the door and jump out of the car unless I get my food. I was that adamant. I needed the food. That’s some dedication.
I still have that same dedication and they work towards other things in my life. That dedication was funny as a kid but now helps me stay consistent in a lot of things in my life. Funny how your brain works as a kid.
