Weekend away from Tokyo

Tokyo is a great city to live in and work in. But just like every other big city, you do need a break from the city. Luckily there are many locations nearby Tokyo where you can go and enjoy life outside of the city.
This weekend I got that chance to take a break from Tokyo. I went to Kamakura. It is around 90 minutes away from where I live. It’s pretty close but looks nothing like Tokyo.
It is a great location to take some time away from the city. There’s a beach nearby. There are fewer tall buildings. There’s more nature to see. You can take time and forget about the responsibilities you have back in the city. It is a nice way to reset.
I came early in the morning. I went to a few of the popular locations near the station. There was the huge buddha statue in Kamakura. It was a pretty popular spot. I also went to the beach after a long time. Back when I lived in Beppu the beach was a walking distance away. When I lived in Toyohashi it was a 20-minute car ride away. But the beach is far from Tokyo. It was great to be able to feel the freshness of the beach. At the end of the day, I reached the Airbnb. It had a beautiful view and was located in a nice area.
It was great to be able to have a weekend away from Tokyo.
