The most important day for consistency

I had the worst week of running. Just did a km every single day. I was busy with moving into my new house and adjusting to a new schedule. I know those sound like excuses, they actually are. But I did reach my limits. I tried my best. I tried hard to run more, but lack of sleep due to moving things didn’t help me.
It was bugging me a lot. I needed a good run. I knew I was on a bad run, I had to get back. Getting back after you are down, is the most important part of being consistent.

Today I finally had a great run today. 5km. Beautiful weather. I didn’t expect this to happen. I had a busy day again. I had a few more things to move and fix in the house. After doing all that, I wasn’t particularly feeling energized. But as soon as I headed out, my body picked up. I felt at ease, I kept on going. Felt happy throughout the run.

When you try to be consistent, the good days don't matter, the bad days don't matter, the most important day is the day after a bad day. If you can pick yourself up after a bad day, you can start to build consistency. You need to build up the courage to get back to it.
I know it’s difficult. It’s not the easiest thing to do. But little by little, you will get there.
