How sleep impacts your day

Due to the camp, I went on during the weekend, I ended up not sleeping much. That made me go into this week with a lack of sleep.
Lack of sleep never helps anyone. It is a lousy cycle you don’t want to get yourself in. Once you are in it, you need to take a break and sleep. But what if you can’t catch a break to get that sleep? Well, your body starts feeling the effects.
In the beginning, it’s the lack of energy. You start off your day all lazy and exhausted. You neither have the willpower nor the energy to go through your day. You start the day off with negative energy and this keeps on going. Your body loses more energy and you start to fill the need for sleep. Your eyes can’t stay open anymore but you go for that energy drink or coffee to stay awake.
That sudden rush of energy from the drink doesn’t actually help. You do feel better at that moment. But as soon as the rush goes you feel worse.
This continues unless you crash. Your body and mind crash. You need that sleep to recover. But if you don’t get that sleep you back to the same cycle the next day.
