Halfway through Ramadan 2022

It’s been more than 2 weeks since we started fasting. Halfway through the holy month of Ramadan. I don’t know why but it has been kind of tougher than previous years.
I am a guy who loves routines. I like to follow patterns. For the past one year I have been settled in a specific routine. Whether it be the diet I follow or the amount I sleep. But every Ramadan that has to change a bit. Things to be adjusted. So this month it has been tougher than usual.
Firstly, my workouts. I was settled in a routine of running everyday, going to the gym twice a week and swimming twice a week. But I have had to reduce my gym and swim time. Although I am running everyday, I have reduced my distance. I also have had to settle on night runs only. But my body has adjusted well and the runs have been good so far.
Secondly, my diet. Since I am fasting I don’t have my usual breakfast. I used to have the same breakfast every single day. My body was used to that routine. But now my body has had to readjust to the new system. It was tough for the first week but now my body is used to the new routine.
Thirdly, the biggest impact has been on my sleep. Since we have to wake up before sunrise to eat our last meal and pray, I have had to cut my sleep into 2 halves. Sleep a bit before sunrise. Then sleep after sunrise. I was used to my usual 6-7 Hours of continuous sleep. But now it has been divided and I haven’t adjusted well yet. Even after half a month I feel like I need more sleep.
Although these might seem like complaints, they are actually not. These are just observations. I know what I am getting into during Ramadan. I know why I observe this month. So I am happy with whatever changes I have had to make. I hope if you are fasting, you are doing well yourself. This was another nothing blog maybe, but these were on my mind today.
