Casey Neistat Vlog 019

This coming week will be crazy busy for me. I have to be on a schedule doing a lot of things at the same time. So, expect a few more Casey blogs instead of the weekly one. This is one vlog I have watched before.
We are at 18. In the beginning, we have the random shot from his day. The cold open. Then we have his usual timelapse. After that comes the close-up shot. Today’s close-up shot is special to me. He talks about how an hour of sleep can be supplemented with an hour of running. Ever since I started running, I agree 100% with this statement.
He then goes for a long run. Because one of the comments in his videos was that his running parts are boring. So he dedicates the vlog to his run.
This vlog is a gem. He checks in at different points of his run while he is telling a story in his office. He talks about his journey with running. He had an accident when he was 26 and he was told that he could never run. Instead of listening, he started running from 28. He did his first marathon at 28. I will be 28 next year and I can’t wait to run my first one. Back to his story. He not only proved that doctor wrong by running a marathon, but he also ended up doing a bunch of triathlons. For the record up until 2015, he did 22 marathons and a bunch of triathlons and he has never looked back. He also shares how he makes running a priority. I love this episode. I have done the same with my life. I have made running a top priority. It changed my life and I am never looking back.
Around the end, he talks about how he feels while running. After the first few km, your body is on autopilot. He also gets a lot of his ideas while running, I do too. He ends the day with a drink from Starbucks, a well-earned drink!
