A good night’s sleep is underrated

I believe I have written this blog before. But I do want to talk about sleeping again.
A good night’s sleep is underrated. A lot of people don’t value sleep. A lot of people also pride themselves on surviving with less sleep. I don’t want to lie. I was one of those people in the past. Especially during university days. I used to work all night. Do my classes during the day. I used to sleep only when I could.
But ever since graduation I have realized the importance of a good night’s sleep.
Whenever I have a good sleep, it impacts both my mental and physical health. I am more eager to go through my day. I feel less fatigue. My mind also has more clarity. But the opposite happens when I don’t sleep on time.
Building a good sleep routine sounds simple. But it takes a lot of discipline. You can start simply. Either start sleeping at the same time at night or wake up at the same time. Then slowly try to do both. You can also build simple routines before going to bed or after waking up. Your brain will use those as triggers. The one thing that impacted my sleep the most has been running. Ever since I started running I haven’t had a bad sleep. But sometimes when due to sleeping late I have shorter sleep which impacts my day a lot. Thankful for a good night’s rest.
