When do people write their wills?

I am not gonna lie. It’s been getting harder continuing this blog. The situation in my life currently hasn’t helped. Uncertainty never helps maintain something consistently. But I will try my best. Sorry if the quality is in decline.
Anyways, today’s topic is about a will. Why a will? I was watching Better Call Saul where Saul has to deal with someone’s will. No spoilers. After watching that episode I was thinking about when do people considering writing wills.
I had two situations in mind. The first might be when people have something to leave behind. If you own something or some amount of money you might start thinking about what to do in the long term. Maybe that value of the materialistic thing that you have makes you think. Maybe, I don’t know.
The other situation I thought might be when people get old. Well, that might be the situation most people presume. Because most movies show old people dealing with their will. So naturally, we might think that a will is something for when you are getting older.
Well, I don’t have the answers. But one of my friends on Facebook had a better answer, “When that one particular relative tends to be annoying, and you wanna make sure they don't get anything”
