What’s a nice weekend like?

Every Friday as we finish work, we say to each other, “Have a nice weekend.” It’s a common courtesy. It’s second nature. On Friday we wish everyone a nice weekend.
But what is a nice weekend?
Is it staying at home all day? Being lazy. Enjoying a nice movie. Eating your favorite food. Doing nothing but work. Sounds like a nice weekend?
Is it making all the plans you wanted with friends and cramming them within two days? Going shopping. Going to the beach. Going to hike. Having that lunch. Attending that dinner. Going to that party. Sounds like a nice weekend?
The possibilities are endless. You make what you can of your weekend. If you enjoy your job then weekends are fun. You reenergize, have fun and get ready for Monday. But if you hate your job the weekends are gold for you. It’s the only two days of the week where you don’t need to go to that job you hate. It’s your break from hell. You eagerly wait five days for these two days of freedom.
Fascinating how the definition of a weekend changes based on your job. Did you have a nice weekend?
