The spot where my meditation journey started
This is the very spot where my journey with meditation started. I used to run here, meditate and run back. It was a blissful experience.
There are a lot of ways you can meditate, contrary to popular belief. Most people think of meditation as a person sitting down with closed eyes following a specific mantra. But it can be done in a bunch of different ways.
A meditative state is basically when you have full focus on the activity you are doing. The person who has closed their eyes, his focus is on his mantra or his breathing. Everything else just comes and goes. You can achieve that state in whatever way works for you. For example, when I have a good run I am in a meditative state. I have full focus on just running. Similarly when I am editing a video. But this practice of having full focus is helped when you do the traditional meditation. After that you start feeling that you are focused on whatever you do.
If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try. Just like any other habit or skill, it does take time. But once you get a hang of it, you can't give it up.
