Ever since Samsung started its flip and fold series, folding phones have had a resurgence. It started with the Motorola flip phone but ever since Samsung the market they have dominated it.
The first two years of the flip were more about big upgrades. But with the flip 3 they finally had something concrete. I was really tempted to get the flip 3 but I wanted to wait for the 4. I wanted to see if they had any other big updates.
Today the flip 4 finally came out. As expected there weren’t any major changes. It was mostly incremental updates. This means Samsung is finally happy with how the flip series is going. They have done a great job with reducing the price and keeping the important features.
It’s still not perfect. The camera is still the same as flip 3. But the battery has increased and it has the latest processor. This should help keep up the performance just like other flagship phones. It's still a phone for the enthusiast. Not many people actually know about it. But expect it to gain more popularity this year.
