I just finished my first 6 weeks in recruitment and at TEKsystems and I wanted to take some time and reflect upon the experience so far.

I joined the recruitment with two things in mind:
1/ I love communicating with people and building relationships
2/ I love helping people and making an impact on them

These two were very important to me when I decided on this career path. I heard a lot about the industry since many of my friends work in it. Both positive and negative. Reflecting on my past 6 weeks I can say that I have been able to fulfill those two important things to me.
TEKsystems has been a great workplace to join. The culture, the team, and the work environment have been great. It’s certainly not for everyone but for those who enjoy such environments, the company truly fuels the growth of such individuals.
The IT recruitment industry in Japan is definitely challenging. I am happy that it’s not an easy market and that makes the job much more fulfilling. Succeeding in this market gives you the opportunity to build a legacy for yourself and the company.
One more thing I wanted to add about TEKsystems is how homogenous all the different offices around the world are. I was lucky to be able to connect with one of my colleagues in Australia. She just joined the Australia office a week ago. We had a great conversation yesterday and we both had a similar impression of the company.
