Morocco won hearts, but France won the game

They weren’t predicted to be in the semi-finals. But they earned their spot. They played like a team. They played for their country. They made their nation proud.
But it was not their day. France was too strong for the Atlas Lions.
They started the game on the back foot. They quickly conceded after four minutes. I thought this might end up as a riot. But Morocco held their ground. They put up a good fight. They had quite a few chances. They controlled a lot of the game. But the France team was very organized and solid in defense. They added a second goal in the second half. Ending the Moroccan dream.
The Moroccan team has so much to be proud of. They might have just influenced a new generation of footballers in Morocco. Everyone will be dreaming of what they just achieved. This is the beauty of football.
For France, it’s the second final in a row. An amazing feat for any nation. But in their way stand Messi’s men.
