I miss billiards

I started playing billiards when I was 13 or 14 years old. It’s been almost a decade but I don’t
During school life, billiards was something that I could look forward to as a break from my studies. Yes, I did play video games just like every other teenager then. But billiards was more fun for me. It was a break from school and home.
I used to play a lot during those days. It wasn’t cheap. I had to save my daily allowance and use it for billiards. I put so much money into the game. But I haven’t played it much since I moved to Japan. I do need a partner to play it regularly.
I haven’t been to the pool clubs in Japan much. I do want to go more regularly. If I had the space I would get my own billiards board. Maybe someday in the future.
Why do I love billiards so much? Maybe it’s because of how concentrated you have to be when you are playing it. Every shot you take, you think about the next one. It imitates life in a way. Maybe not for everyone. But in some cases it does. In life, it’s always good to think one step ahead. Plan wisely.
In billiards, you have to do that every shot. It’s a game that involved both mind and body synergy. It’s also a game that anyone can enjoy regardless of their age.
