How much does a break from driving impact your driving?

It’s been more than 5 months since I have driven. I need to renew my car’s shaken. Shaken is the compulsory vehicle inspection that is needed in Japan. My one expired back in July. I decided to save up money and do it at the end of the year.
Finally, I will get it done in a week. I am very excited but one thing that has been on my mind is how much driving I remember. I got my license back in 2020. I drove regularly after that. But having this break might not have helped me.
The first thing I think I might have forgotten is all the signs on the road. They weren’t easy to get used to in the first place. But it’s important to be able to remember them.
The second thing might be the measurements. When you are inside the car you have to be able to get a feel for the surroundings. I wasn’t the best at doing that. So I am worried remembering that after a break won’t be easy.
Then again our brains are fascinating. Somethings become second nature. As soon as you remember one thing the brain connects the dots. So it either will be super easy to get back to driving or might take some time. Let’s see.
