Goodbye, King of Football

My father loves all kinds of sports. I grew up watching different kinds of sports. But the sport that stuck with me the most was football.
Growing up with football was special. I remember watching the 2002 world cup with my Dad. At that time the Brazilian Ronaldo was the star of the show But he also had Rivaldo and Ronaldinho. It was one of the best Brazil teams. While I was being marveled by this great Brazil team, my Dad used to tell me the stories of another Brazil team that had the great Pele.
He told me about the greatness of Pele. He told me how Pele had one of the biggest impacts on World Football. Pele inspired a whole generation of footballers. For a long time, there was no debate about the greatest of all time. Messi might be the undisputed goat but Pele will always be the kind of football.
It is sad to hear the news of another great footballer passing away. It also comes just at the end of the year right after the world cup. At least Pele got to see an end to another world cup. There will definitely never be another Pele. There might be people who play and break the records set by Pele. They might score more goals than Pele. But they will never have the impact Pele had on the world of football.
