In today’s close-up shot he talks about making viral videos. Clients want him to make viral videos. But he can only make good videos. The virality depends on the situation. Today might be one such situation.
He does a few vlog shots and then talks about his idea for a viral video. The Apple watch just came out and he wants to make a video of painting the cheapest Apple watch gold. He couldn’t buy one at the store so he is getting one from his friend. Even before the watch arrives he gets the other required shots done.
He needed a shot in the Apple store but he wasn’t allowed to shoot there. He goes to a second store and luckily he gets the shot. After that his watch arrives and it’s time for the main shots.
He shows how he takes the shot of painting the watch. He also simultaneously edits the video because he wants to upload it as soon as possible. He finishes the painting and the edit. Then he uploads the video. So he uploads this vlog and the Apple Watch video all on the same day.
He said it was gonna go viral and it did. Currently at 9.4M views. Things only Casey can manage to do. Lot to learn from this one vlog.
