I am guilty of not finding a topic for today’s blog but I have my list of go-to topics for the blog. One of them is Casey’s vlog. Today we look at vlog 005.

The 5th vlog starts a bit different. He talks to the camera in vlog style and shares a personal story in 15 seconds. Then it’s back to the title of the vlog with two shots but no timelapse this time.
The next shot is a close-up shot. This shot is important because it’s a close-up. Any close-up shot is important. Today’s shot reveals the theme of the vlog.
The rest of the vlog is actually similar to the first four. It’s just him going through his vacation day. It’s still not like the Casey vlogs everyone fell in love with. But there’s one thing I noticed, a lot of the shots of his day felt like snippets from someone’s Insta or Snapchat story, just horizontal. Nowadays people tend to make their vlogs more high quality, well-planned shots, color graded, almost like a movie, but Casey always kept an amateur vibe in his vlogs. The best part was that even the amateur parts were planned. But they were so well planned you never noticed it.
I can’t wait to check out vlog 006 where he finally vlogs in NY city!
