Vlog 003 starts off with a coffee montage. But not your Peter Mckinnon-style crazy b-roll. This is more of the amateur look Casey wants to show but this is only vlog 003 and you can see that the montage is okay. Doesn’t really grab your attention. He is still building his style at this point.
After that, there’s a hint of the style you will see for the next 500+ vlogs. There’s a timelapse, well 3 different ones actually, and the text saying the location and the date. Then the next text shows the vlog count.
From second 34 it’s the close-up shot. He does this intentionally to let you know whatever he is about to say is important. Pay attention!
From second 58 it’s back to the vlog shot. From this point on he takes you through his day but it’s just like any other vlogger. The style isn’t still developed as I said. He does use shots from different cameras and changes the music. He has shots from point and shoot and his GoPro while he is at the beach. The rest of the day goes on. Nothing to mention except the fact that. Casey Neistat made a typo! In the end, the text says Vlog_002 is over. I guess no one will remember this only I will.
Excited to see when his style is actually established.
