Break from Tokyo life- Camp day

After a 3-month break, I went camping again. I was back to my favorite place near Lake Motosu.
Lake Motosu Koan Campground has two campsites. One is the lakeside and one is the forest side. I prefer the lakeside but it’s really difficult to get a reservation. Usually, it’s fully booked during the summer season. During fall or winter, there is more availability.
This time since it’s the end of summer, the lakeside was fully booked. We had to take the forest side. The forest side is great too. You are within nature, within the trees. You can feel the connection with the earth. It’s a great environment to relax and stay at peace.
When you live in Tokyo you are constantly stuck in a concrete jungle. You don’t see much greenery at all. If you live in Tokyo sometimes you will want that break from Tokyo. I believe camping gives you the opportunity to take that break in the best possible way. Instead of tall buildings, you are greeted by tall trees. Instead of the noise of the city you hear the noise of nature. Instead of the day rushing past you, things slow down.
The camp yesterday had a huge impact. Just being able to detach from city life was amazing. I hope can maintain this once a month at least.
