86 years, but with good behavior, who knows?

When Better Call Saul first got released, I didn’t want to watch it. I decided to avoid it. I was a big Breaking Bad fan. I loved the way the show ended. I loved the whole package. I didn’t want something else to come in and ruin it. It was meant to be a kind of prequel or backstory to Saul. Nothing to do with Walter, so I avoided it.
But I couldn’t avoid it for long. Just before the last season came out I kept on hearing about all the good reviews. Everyone was adding to the hype. I finally had to take the time to watch it. I am glad I did. I realized that watching it didn’t ruin my Breaking Bad experience. It actually added a whole new perspective.
I don’t want to add anything that will be a spoiler but still try to avoid reading the next few sentences.
After you watch Better Call Saul you realize that there would never be a Walter White without Saul. There was a beautiful scene in the final episode. You realize the difference between Walter and Saul. Walter became Heisenberg due to the situation in his life. Yes, at the end of it he did start enjoying the new life he got. But at the core, he was a good man. On the other hand, Saul was the way he was by choice. He was always like this. Saul was the bigger criminal. Walter was nowhere near what Saul had become.
There’s more to talk about the show. But for now, I want to take time and take it all in. I want to admire the brilliance of the show. I hope if you haven’t watched it, give it a shot.
